Inspired by the closure of nightclubs and nightlife, photographers Heather Shuker and Fran Hales embarked upon a photography project to capture stories from the dancefloor; from new friendships, marriages and births. Chance meetings and sliding door moments. The revelations and euphoric moments. And what the dance floor means to the community.
Heather Shuker is a London-based, award winning photographer. Her work is about is about people and place, and relationship between the two. She studied photography at the University of Brighton and Central Saint Martins College of Art. Her work has been exhibited and published both in the UK and internationally.
Fran Hales is a self taught London based photographer. People are at the forefront of her images. Her prominent style is reportage, adopting a hidden in plain sight approach whether this is shooting clubs, corporate events or protests. Her work has also been exhibited and published both in the UK and internationally.
