“So many great connections are forged on the dance floor and even if they are just in that moment, those moments make up some of the best memories of your life”.

Sophie fell in love with the rave, house music and the tribe it attracts at 15 and almost 30 years later, the love affair is still going strong.

“So many great connections are forged on the dance floor and even if they are just in that moment, those moments make up some of the best memories of your life”.

Inspired by this, Sophie (a pilates and barre instructor) created Disco Barre TM, the hardcore ballet barre workout to underground house and disco, which channels the dance floor energy and has you so immersed you almost forget  how hard you’re working. She opened Disco Barre Studio at The Factory, Dalston just over 2 years ago and although it was forced to shut down for a year due to the pandemic, she has built up a successful On Demand Business and the studio is thriving once more.

“It tends to attract a lovely crew of party people, or ex party people who still want to experience that buzz. And over lockdown, so many commented that it was the only way they could get their fix without actually being at the club".
